Meabco A/S expands combination
trials with more existing anti-cancer drugs
Meabco A/S yesterday announced that very promising pre-clinical results from
combination trials with already marketed anti-cancer drugs has made Meabco expanding its preclinical program to include four additional
high-profiled anti-cancer drugs.
The company advised that based on earlier study results, which were
supported by the drug’s unique mode of action, the combination of
efficacy together with a significant reduction of side effects were
expected. “We are talking about a huge market where the
combination of Meabco’s most advanced drug candidate and well
recognized anti-cancer products already on the market, will be
complementary to
Meabco’s own anti-cancer drugs. At
the same time the “combination-agents” will have a relatively short
time to market” Stig Lofberg, CEO, added.
Meabco, that has its BP-C1 product in Clinical Phase II trials for
breast cancer, will start combination products negotiations later
this year.
