BP-Cx-1

Meabco’s product portfolio is based on combination of BP-Cx-1 and metal ions of known therapeutic potential. BP-Cx-1, a globular polydentant ligand, is a refined natural substance, based on acid polymers of the benzo-poly-carbonic family.

BP-Cx-1 is capable of chelating/encapsulating the metal ions, and facilitates their uptake into cells.  As a consequence, much reduced levels of the active substance are needed to achieve the same therapeutic effect.  The chelating effect of BP-Cx-1 and the reduced concentrations of active substance almost completely eliminate the known severe side effects of standard platinum-based drugs.  In addition to the encapsulating and transport facilitating effect of BP-Cx-1, it stimulates the immune system and generally improves the patients’ well being.

In addition to metal ions, BP-Cx-1 may prove beneficial in combination with other drugs which are known to have significant side effects .
